Yashica Mat-124G
This is my first (and only) twin lens reflex camera. Twin lens reflex cameras have two (twin) lenses. The top lens is what you are viewing through and the bottom lens is what exposes the film. It took some time to get used to the viewfinder because the image is backwards, looking down at the glass on top of the camera to focus and compose the scene. This is a fun camera and takes incredible images. It also forces me to slow down, which is a good thing in the photographic process. The negative size produced is 6cm x 6cm. This bigger negative, compared to a 35mm camera, captures a lot of detail for the photograph.
